Follow-Wealth Pattern: Formation and Break Points — Stability and Risk in the Follow-Wealth Pattern

The Follow-Wealth Pattern is a pattern where the Day Master submits to the Wealth star's dominance — enormous wealth potential but sensitive stability. This article explains the formation conditions, break-point types, and luck-cycle strategies.

Formation and Break Points of the Follow-Wealth Pattern

The wealth and fragility of the Follow-Wealth Pattern — wealth makes it, wealth breaks it

Of all Follow Patterns, the Follow-Wealth Pattern has the greatest wealth potential — the Wealth star dominates the entire chart; the Day Master fully submits to Wealth and operates by wealth's logic. But the Follow-Wealth Pattern is also extremely sensitive — the Wealth star most fears Companion restraint and Resource supporting the body. This article explains the formation conditions and break-point types, analyzing this 'wealthy but fragile' pattern.

The core of Follow-Wealth formation: the Wealth star is absolutely dominant + the Day Master is completely rootless. The greatest break-point threats: Companion robbing Wealth and Resource supporting the body. The key to preserving the pattern: Output producing Wealth and protecting Wealth.

1. Formation Conditions of the Follow-Wealth Pattern

The Follow-Wealth Pattern requires three hard conditions. First: the Wealth star forms absolute dominance — the Wealth star has strong roots in the Earthly Branches (ideally a Three Harmony Wealth combination or a Three Assembly Wealth direction), it penetrates the Heavenly Stems, and it is not restrained. The Wealth star must be the single most powerful force in the entire chart, capable of fully dominating the chart. Second: the Day Master is entirely rootless — the DM has absolutely no Companion or Resource root qi in the Earthly Branches, not even residual qi in the hidden stems. Once the DM has even a tiny root, the Follow-Wealth becomes a Fake Follow-Wealth — the pattern's level and stability drop. Third: Output appears to produce and protect Wealth — Output can produce the Wealth star (strengthening its dominance) and also restrain Companion (Output restrains Companion, which is the Wealth star's natural enemy). A Follow-Wealth Pattern with Output protecting Wealth has greatly enhanced stability. The ideal Follow-Wealth configuration: Wealth star forms dominance + DM rootless + Output has root and produces Wealth. Under this configuration, the wealth pattern is highly impressive.

2. Three Ways the Follow-Wealth Pattern Breaks

The Follow-Wealth Pattern breaks via three classic paths. Companion Robs Wealth — this is the number-one nemesis. Companion and Robwealth share the same Five Element as the DM; once a rooted Companion appears, it restrains the Wealth star (Companion robs Wealth), directly attacking the Follow-Wealth Pattern's core force. Companion cycles do greater damage to Follow-Wealth than any other break type. Resource Supports the Body — Resource produces and supports the DM, giving it strength. Once the DM has strength, it wants to 'stand on its own' — but the Follow-Wealth chart structure has Wealth as the boss; the DM standing on its own amounts to fighting the pattern. The threat level of Resource cycles depends on Resource's force and whether the Wealth star can restrain Resource. Officer-Killing Protects Wealth but is Broken — Officer-Killing can restrain Companion (Officer-Killing protects Wealth), acting as the Follow-Wealth Pattern's 'bodyguard.' If Officer-Killing is restrained by Output (Output restrains Killing, and the bodyguard for Wealth becomes ineffective), the Wealth star loses its protection, and Companion can march straight in to rob Wealth.

3. Determining the Severity of a Break in the Follow-Wealth Pattern

The severity of a Follow-Wealth break can be evaluated from three dimensions. Root qi of the break force — a Companion with strong root (e.g., Robwealth or blade visible in the Earthly Branches) breaks the pattern far more severely than a Companion that is weak and rootless. A rooted Companion equals a 'real competitor'; a rootless Companion is mere 'harassment.' The Wealth star's counter-restraining ability — when the Wealth star is strong, even if Companion appears, it will be counter-drained by Wealth (abundant Wealth instead drains Companion). When the Wealth star is weak, Companion can easily rob it. Rescue force — Output is Companion's nemesis. If the natal chart has Output protecting Wealth, Companion's wealth-robbing destructive force is greatly weakened by Output. A Follow-Wealth Pattern without Output protecting Wealth carries the highest break-point risk.

4. Real-Life Manifestations and Luck-Cycle Strategies

In real life, people with the Follow-Wealth Pattern often have a natural affinity for finance, trade, and investment — their life logic revolves around 'wealth flow.' During Output cycles and Wealth cycles, wealth growth peaks — Output produces Wealth, the Wealth star gains dominance, and the wealth pattern functions at full capacity. During Companion cycles, wealth risk peaks — Companion robs Wealth; loss of money, partnership disputes, investment failure. During Resource cycles, be careful — Resource helps you, and you may want to transform or learn (Resource governs learning), but the timing of transformation must be carefully evaluated, because the Follow-Wealth Pattern's fundamental advantage lies in the financial and value domain. People with the Follow-Wealth Pattern have a lifelong task: manage their relationship with 'money' — because your pattern is highly bound to wealth, wealth fluctuations affect you more than they affect ordinary people.

Practical Application Points

  • For formation, check three elements : Wealth forms dominance + DM rootless + Output protects Wealth = superior Follow-Wealth. Missing Output to protect Wealth = pattern discounted. DM has a tiny root = Fake Follow-Wealth; stability drops.
  • Companion cycles are the primary risk : When Follow-Wealth enters a Companion cycle, be especially vigilant about financial risk. Be cautious in partnerships, conservative in investments, and keep evidence for contracts and loans. Companion robbing Wealth events often involve 'having your interests divided away.'
  • Follow-Wealth with Output protecting Wealth has the strongest stability : Output is Companion's nemesis. When the natal chart has Output + Wealth star, the destructive force of Companion robbing Wealth is greatly buffered by Output. Output is the pattern's 'immune system.'

Common Follow-up Questions

Q: What's the difference between Follow-Wealth and Standard Wealth Pattern?

A:

In Standard Wealth Pattern, the DM is not weak, and Wealth achieves balance with other Ten Gods — the DM can shoulder Wealth. In Follow-Wealth, the DM is extremely weak and fully submits to Wealth — the DM abandons self and follows Wealth. Standard Wealth earns money through ability; Follow-Wealth earns money by following the market.

Q: Are people with Follow-Wealth suited for stock trading?

A:

Follow-Wealth has a natural affinity for finance, but extra caution is needed during Companion cycles. Investment luck is best during Output and Wealth cycles; stay conservative during Companion cycles. Pattern-based fate reading provides a 'luck cycle framework' — strike during favorable times, defend during adverse times.
