How Does Cong-Er Ge 'Follow'? — The Submission Logic of the Following Output Pattern Explained

The 'following' in Cong-Er Ge differs from other following patterns — it follows the Output that the Day Master itself generates. This article explains how Cong-Er Ge follows, the conditions for following, and the pattern changes after following.

How Cong-Er Ge Follows

Cong-Er Ge — Submitting to One's Own 'Product'

Cong-Er Ge is the most unique among all following patterns: the Day Master submits not to external restraining/draining pressure (Wealth, Officer, Killing) but to the Output that it 'generates' itself. Output represents the Day Master's talent and production — submitting to Output is submitting to one's own creativity and expressive drive. This article explains how Cong-Er Ge specifically 'follows,' the conditions for following, and the pattern's direction after following.

The essential difference between 'following' in Cong-Er Ge versus other following patterns: Following Killing and Following Wealth are 'forced by circumstance,' while Cong-Er is 'voluntary following' — the Day Master willingly follows its own talent.

1. How Cong-Er Ge's 'Following' Differs from Other Following Patterns

Following Killing pattern — Day Master submits to Seven Killings (restrains me), submitting to fear and pressure. Following Wealth pattern — Day Master submits to Wealth star (I restrain), submitting to profit and desire. Following Officer pattern — Day Master submits to Direct Officer (restrains me), submitting to rules and order. Cong-Er Ge — Day Master submits to Output (I generate), submitting to what it has created itself. The nature of submission in Cong-Er Ge is completely different: there is no antagonism between the Day Master and Output (Output does not restrain the Day Master), so the pressure of submission is far less than in Following Killing or Following Wealth. The Day Master has a natural 'affinity' with Output — because Output is what the Day Master generates, like a parent toward a child. This affinity makes Cong-Er Ge people feel natural and even joyful when following Output — unlike Following Killing where one constantly feels fear. But because of this affinity, Cong-Er Ge people can easily 'resent complete submission' — why should what I created dominate me? When luck cycles slightly support the body (give the Day Master a bit of strength), the Day Master may want to 'seize back control.'

2. How Cong-Er Ge 'Follows' — The Specific Methods of Submission

The 'following' in Cong-Er Ge has three layers. First layer: The Day Master abandons independent positioning — it no longer pursues its own strength-weakness balance (strong vs. weak body), and moves entirely to the Output's rhythm. The Day Master no longer asks 'am I strong enough' but instead asks 'what does the Output need.' Second layer: The yongshen is chosen entirely according to the Output's direction — if Output needs Wealth to bridge (Output generates Wealth), then take Wealth as yongshen. If Output needs Companion to support the body (because Output drains the body too heavily), then take Companion as yongshen. The logic of choosing yongshen revolves entirely around Output; the Day Master is merely a 'cooperator.' Third layer: During luck cycles, maintain the Output's absolute dominance — luck cycles must not lift the Day Master (body-supporting cycles are risk cycles for Cong-Er Ge), and luck cycles must not restrain Output (Resource cycles are fatal cycles for Cong-Er Ge). The 'following' in Cong-Er Ge must achieve complete 'invisibility' of the Day Master behind the Output. The most ideal Cong-Er Ge state: what others see is a person's talent and creativity (Output), not the person themselves (Day Master).

3. Situations Where Cong-Er Ge Cannot Follow Through

There are three situations where Cong-Er Ge cannot follow through (breaks the pattern or converts to false following). First: The Day Master has a micro-root — the Day Master has root qi in the earthly branches and is unwilling to completely submit to Output. In this case, Cong-Er Ge becomes false Cong-Er — the Day Master intermittently wants to 'seize back initiative.' Second: Luck cycles reach body-supporting cycles — the luck cycle gives the Day Master strength, and with that foundation, the Day Master wants independence. If the body-supporting luck cycle's strength is limited, the pattern only partially breaks. If the body-supporting luck cycle's strength is powerful, Cong-Er Ge may completely break and convert to a standard pattern. Third: The Resource star appears — Resource restrains Output (Resource controls Output), attacking the core strength of Cong-Er Ge. If the Resource star is merely floating and harassing, Cong-Er Ge can still maintain. If Resource has roots and is strong, Cong-Er Ge faces a fundamental breakage risk. When Cong-Er Ge cannot follow through, the pattern shifts from 'following Output's momentum' to 'Output and Day Master mutually bargaining' — pattern stability drops significantly.

Practical Key Points

  • Cong-Er Ge's following is 'active submission' : Unlike the 'passive submission' of other following patterns, Cong-Er Ge's submission to Output carries initiative and affinity. Leverage this — transform following Output into following your own passion and talent.
  • Guard against Resource and body-supporting cycles breaking the pattern : Resource restrains Output = attacking the core. Body-supporting cycles = making the Day Master want independence. Both types of luck cycles pose risks to Cong-Er Ge.
  • Output having a Wealth star bridge is the core : Output generates Wealth — the Output's strength has an outlet. Cong-Er Ge without a Wealth star bridge has no monetization channel for its Output strength; talent has nowhere to land.

Common Follow-up Questions

Q: What is the difference between Cong-Er Ge and Output Expressing Elegance?

A:

In Cong-Er Ge, the Day Master is weak and follows the Output. In Output Expressing Elegance, the Day Master is strong and actively uses Output. The difference lies in the Day Master's initiative and the distribution of power in the pattern.
