How to Combine Blind School, Ziping Pattern, and Wangshuai Methods in Practice

Three schools, one reading — but you don't use all three at once. A practical framework for deploying each school at the right stage: wangshuai for capacity, pattern for structure, blind school for event signals.

Three Schools, One Framework

Three tools, one toolbox — but you don't use all three at the same time

Blind School (盲派), Ziping Pattern School (子平格局派), and Wangshuai School (旺衰派) are three distinct Bazi reading systems, each with strengths and weaknesses. The key to combining them is not mashing them together — it's deploying the right tool at the right stage of the reading. Foundation stage: use Wangshuai to determine Day Master strength and carrying capacity. Structure stage: use Pattern method to assess whether a pattern forms and its tier. Event stage: use Blind School's gong-zuo (做功) and xiang-fa (象法) to identify specific event signals. Each stage uses the school best suited to it. The outputs then synthesize into a complete reading: capacity + structure + event signals = full-spectrum judgment.

Three-step integration: ① Wangshuai determines carrying capacity (how much can you handle). ② Pattern method determines structure and ceiling (what's your upper limit). ③ Blind School xiang-fa determines event signals (what will happen). The sequence cannot be reversed — capacity is the foundation, structure is the frame, events are the details.

1. Stage one: carrying capacity — Wangshuai takes the stage

The first step with any chart is always strength assessment. Not because it's the most important, but because it's the baseline. Without knowing how strong or weak the Day Master is, all subsequent pattern and event judgments lack a capacity reference. Wangshuai gives you the Day Master's baseline — how long you can withstand pressure, to what degree you can command wealth and authority. This stage is best served by the Wangshuai method. Get the strength tier right (extremely weak → very weak → slightly weak → balanced → slightly strong → very strong → extremely strong), and everything downstream has a foundation.

2. Stage two: structure and ceiling — Pattern School takes the stage

After capacity is established, move to structural judgment. What structural advantages does your chart have (pattern)? What tier is the pattern — high, middle, or low? The Pattern School answers: where is your ceiling? It doesn't need the Day Master's strength data directly — but it does need the capacity data to answer 'to what degree can this pattern actually be realized?' A high-tier pattern with insufficient capacity is a sports car with a lawnmower engine — the ceiling exists on paper but you can't reach it.

3. Stage three: event signals — Blind School takes the stage

With capacity (can you handle it?) and structure (what's your ceiling?) established — finally, event judgment. Blind School's gong-zuo and xiang-fa directly produce event signals: which year brings marriage, which year brings financial loss, which year brings calamity. These signals, combined with capacity and structure, yield complete advice. Knowing an event is coming, you can assess whether your capacity can handle it. A major financial loss event with strong capacity: you'll survive and rebuild. The same event with weak capacity: it could break you.

Judgment Dimensions

Career & Wealth

Wangshuai tells you whether you can carry a high-powered career or major wealth. Pattern tells you the structural path (Officer pattern → institutional career; Wealth pattern → business). Blind School tells you when the career breakthrough or financial windfall actually arrives.

Love & Relationship

Capacity determines whether you can sustain a relationship through difficulty. Pattern indicates the type of partner your chart attracts. Blind School event signals identify relationship timing — when marriage, conflict, or separation is likely.

Personality

Wangshuai gives baseline resilience and reactivity. Pattern gives the structural personality template (Officer pattern → disciplined; Output pattern → creative). Blind School adds nuance through xiang-fa — how these traits manifest in real-world situations.

Health

Capacity directly maps to physical resilience. Pattern structure indicates chronic tendencies. Blind School event-timing can flag health risk periods. The three together provide a complete health timeline.

Practical Strategy

  • Follow the three stages in order — don't skip : Capacity → Structure → Events. Don't try to assess events before establishing capacity. Event judgments need the first two layers of data to be reliable.
  • When stage conclusions conflict, capacity overrides : Great pattern but insufficient capacity → downgrade expectations (the pattern is high but you can't realize it). Major event signal but strong capacity → you'll survive even the worst of it.

Common Questions

Q: Which of the three schools is most important?

A:

Capacity (Wangshuai). No matter how high the pattern or how significant the events, everything ultimately gets filtered through the Day Master's carrying capacity. If capacity is insufficient, both pattern and event judgments get heavily discounted.
