Mangpai Inside House, Outside House: Use Household Constitution to Seize External Target
Where wealth and power sit determines how hard you have to work for them. Inside the house, it's inventory. Outside, it's prey.
Mangpai splits the chart into two worlds. Day Pillar and Hour Pillar are inside the house — you, your spouse and children, resources you directly control. Year Pillar and Month Pillar are outside — ancestors, society, the external environment, opportunities you have to fight for. The division looks simple. It's the foundation for every 'Constitution seizes Target' logic. The core principle is one sentence: use your household Constitution to seize external Target. Your skills are on you. What you want is out there with other people.
Household is Constitution. External is Target. Seal grabbing Officer ranks highest — legal authority. Eating God grabbing Wealth is middle — skill monetization. Friend grabbing Wealth is lowest — sweat for cash. Wealth and Officer already inside the house need no grabbing — but you must hold them.

Dimensions
Career & Wealth
Seal grabbing Officer: highest rank (senior institutional). Eating God grabbing Wealth: middle rank (technical entrepreneur). Friend grabbing Wealth: lowest rank (labor-intensive). Wealth and Officer at home, protected: defensive wealth. Wealth and Officer outside, merged in by Constitution: expansionary wealth. Constitution-Target channel not open: wasted potential.
Love & Relationship
A man's Wealth star sitting at home (Day Branch) and protected — virtuous, household-supporting wife. Wealth star outside, merged by Friend — spouse prone to affairs or poached by friends. Same logic for a woman's Officer star. The inside-outside position matters more than the Ten God — position decides whether it's yours or someone else's.
Personality
Day and Hour Pillar characters represent the real self — at home, what you see is what you get. Year and Month characters represent the social image — the face you show outside. Hurting Officer on Year-Month: sharp and direct in public. Seal on Day-Hour: conservative at heart. This person is wild outside, tame inside.
Health
Household characters clashed or pierced — the corresponding body part is vulnerable. Day Branch (abdomen) clashed: digestive, gynecological, or urinary system隐患. Year-Month characters clashed or pierced: weak childhood constitution or congenital issues.

Practical Application
- Step one: mark inside and outside : Open a chart. Draw a line under the Day and Hour Pillars. Below the line: yours. Above the line (Year and Month): the outside world. Do you have Constitution (Seal, Eating God, Hurting Officer, Friend, Rob Wealth, Salary) at home? Is there Target (Wealth, Officer) outside? Answer these two questions first.
- Check the Constitution-Target channel : Can household Constitution reach external Target? Does Constitution merge with Target? Overcome Target? Transform Target? If a character sits between Constitution and Target causing trouble — e.g., Seal merges away Eating God so Eating God can't suppress Killing — the channel is blocked. You need a Luck Pillar to remove the blocking character.
- Judge Wealth and Officer sustainability : Check whether the character that generates Wealth-Officer (the source) sits inside your household. Source at home = blood-making capacity. Sustainable. Source not at home = dependent on external environment. Environment shifts, money stops. These charts need to accumulate enough vault reserves during good cycles to survive when the source dries up.
Common Questions
Q: If there's no Target (Wealth, Officer) outside the house, does that mean poverty?
A:
Wealth and Officer at home means you have stockpiles. But that doesn't mean you can ignore them. If household Wealth and Officer are damaged (punished, clashed, pierced), that's the fortune-squandering pattern — resources in hand but can't hold them. Holding is also a skill.
